Ground to air shots of formations of Allied bombers over France. Planes dropping marker bombs over Caen. Dawn shots of artillery laying barrage outside Caen. Priest guns go into action. Flail tank moving past not flailing through. Lots of Sherman tanks following up. Anglo-Canadian infantry moving through corn fields during the advance. Damage on outskirts of Caen. Tanks lead the way and the infantry enter Caen and some house to house fighting.
