Pt. M. Venkatesh Kumar is an Indian classical vocalist. He is Born in Lakshmipura in the Dharwad region of northern Karnataka. He is renowned for his husk, vibrant classical singing style, He is also popular in singing Dasara Padas & Devotional songs. He learnt Hindustani vocal in the Gwalior and Kirana Gharana styles under Gawai. He blends these styles effortlessly in his presentations, though he admits to influences beyond these Gharanas.

Raag Shree is a Purush (Male) Raag. It is among the most difficult Raagas of Indian Classical Music to master because of the position of its notes and the way the notes are rendered. This ancient Raag belongs to Thaat Purvi. The nature of this Raag is deeply devotional though it is also anxiety-laden Raag.
Raga Shree is a deeply meditative evening Raga, with rich emotional content.
