The Delta Apex for Valkyrie gives it Compressed Blast, which massively reduces the Mega Bomb radius but makes the blast deal 60 damage in all its radius.

There is still no doubt this apex kind of sucks because it’s use is extremely niche. It only works when you have waves with lots of heavy units, particularly heavy Eagle spam. However, Phalanx is able to hold off the invader fire just ling enough for Compressed Blast to do its job and heavily damage Eagles to take them out quickly.
