When I was child almost every night my father would play games from the Myst series on our old PC, and I would watch with glee . Back in the 90s it was awe-inspiring to explore Ages and interact with the virtual world beyond the screen. As Myst IV Revelation, Myst Uru, and Myst V End of Ages were released I played them on my own, eventually revisiting Myst, Riven, and Myst III Exile.

Returning to Tomahna after almost a decade (for both myself and the player character in different ways) we are summoned by Atrus to glean as to whether or not his two sons, Sirrus and Achenar, have been changed for the better by the long years of solitude on their Prison Ages after the events of Myst. We also meet his young daughter, Yeesha, who is learning the Art of Writing and speaks fondly of the times she visits her brothers- unaware of the evil they were once capable of. When a malfunctioning viewer forces Atrus to leave his daughter in our care, Tomahna is attacked by unseen assailants and Yeesha kidnapped. Armed only with our wits and a pendant that can reveal memories tied to objects and surroundings, we must traverse the Ages linked to Tomahna to find Yeesha- including the former prisons of Atrus' murderous sons.
