Today, I realised something I wish I knew months ago.

For the longest time, I believed artificial lights were the only “real” solution for good videos. Because honestly… you can’t control the sun, right? Winter comes, the light disappears early, and half of my clips used to look flat, dark, or just dull.
And with no aesthetic background or studio setup, I genuinely thought natural light was my biggest limitation.

But slowly… I started experimenting.

I went to my terrace. I shot during golden hour. I noticed how the sky, even in winter, gives a soft, cinematic glow that no RGB light can replace. But my face would stay dark. My exposure would fall apart. And the videos would still look incomplete.

Until I found the simplest hack ever.

Use both.
Let the natural light create the ambience.
Let your phone’s flash lift the shadows on your face.

That’s it. No softboxes. No fancy lights. Just combining the sun with a tiny artificial source… and my videos instantly felt more alive, more detailed, more intentional.

Today’s lesson was simple but powerful:
You don’t always need perfect gear — sometimes you just need to use what you already have… together.

Day 19 taught me that creativity isn’t about choosing between natural or artificial light.
It’s about blending both so your story shines anyway — even when the sun doesn’t.
