Clarification - I think the 4mm Rope 2 chains betters as the bigger chain where as the 3.5mm Franco dominates the scene (in the current setup that I showcase). I think Franco’s are great 2 chain options, especially when the Franco is the smaller chain.

Note - I went back with the calipers to measure different parts of the chain and consistently observed 4mm. Not sure if this is with every batch from the manufacturer.
