Many young women believe that if they're not experiencing symptoms, there’s no need for regular checkups.

But in this video, I want to share two real stories from my practice that highlight why routine pelvic ultrasounds are essential for women of all ages—especially young and unmarried women.

One of my patients, only 21 years old, was diagnosed with a large fibroid measuring 14cm x 12cm x 10cm. Shockingly, she had no symptoms at all—her periods were normal, and she experienced no pain. It was only after her parents noticed an increase in her abdominal size that a doctor’s ultrasound revealed the fibroid.

Another patient, aged 36, was told by her massage therapist that she felt a mass in her abdomen. After further investigation, we discovered she had a large fibroid, which we treated using HIFU.

These cases remind us that just because you're symptom-free doesn’t mean everything is fine. Larger fibroids can lead to more complications and make treatment more difficult, so it’s important to catch them early.
