Authorities are investigating a homicide at Sunset Park in Las Vegas.

The incident was reported in the area of the park, which is located near Sunset Road and Eastern Avenue, Lt. Robert Price with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police said in an email Thursday.

This investigation comes after Clark County announced that gates have been installed at the park's six vehicle entrances.

County officials said the goal is to reinforce that the park is open to the public from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. and closed overnight.
