The "Lloyd Goad" Buck

Описание к видео The "Lloyd Goad" Buck

Lloyd Goad's son, Jody, talks about how his father harvested his monster buck the old-fashioned way. Killing a record buck with a bow & arrow is no easy matter, even with the help of today's state-of-the-art archery equipment. But if you turn the calendar back several decades when bowhunting was still in its infancy and you accomplish that feat with a 45-lb recurve and wooden arrows, it becomes even more remarkable. Such was the situation in 1962 when 34-year-old service station operator Lloyd Goad arrowed a 197 6/8 typical in Monroe County, Iowa.
