My jackfruit seedlings are growing as robustly as I predicted in the first episode. There was a brief setback for the two seedlings in the main pot with powdery mildew, but that was easily stopped with myclobutanil, a fungicide from Spectracide. There is mounting evidence that fertilization does make a difference starting from around after the first two months; this counters the assertion made by some of viewers in the past that fertilization isn't necessary within the first year for species with such big seeds.
