Equatorial Guinea Sex Scandal: Why Baltasar Ebang Engonga Has Not Been Charged?


Equatorial Guinea rocked by scandal as President’s nephew faces potential charges over sex tapes. Baltasar Ebang Engonga is embroiled in a scandal after his hundreds of sex tapes with prominent women surfaced. However, Engonga, already arrested for alleged embezzlement, has not been charged for the videos. According to reports, the videos were consensual, and no coercion or violence has been alleged. Some of the videos, which allegedly involve wives of ministers, police officials, and influential women were filmed in government offices. Attorney-General Anatolio Nzang stated Engonga could face charges if medical tests reveal he spread sexually transmitted diseases, citing risks to public health.
'The possibility of disease transmission makes the situation even more critical,' Nzang told state media. Meanwhile, internet restrictions have been imposed to curb the videos’ spread.
