Three migrants die trying to cross the Channel

Three people have died off the French coast during an attempt to cross the English Channel.

A boat ran into trouble this morning after leaving a public beach in Sangatte close to Calais.

Around 50 are reported to have fallen into the water while trying to board the overcrowded vessel.
