Cheryl Kagan has served the residents of Gaithersburg and Rockville in the Maryland State Senate for more than a decade now. Known for her pragmatic approach to problem solving, Senator Kagan shared her agenda for the 2026 General Assembly with MCM.

Kagan will be on the ballot in District 17 in the upcoming election. While she supports better education and the Blueprint for Maryland’s Future, she told us it may face some challenges in the current budgetary climate.
