In the UK, self care awareness week was introduced by The Self Care Forum back in 2011 and is held annually between 15th-21st November - this year's theme is practise self care for life. It's main focus is supporting people to take control of their health needs, increase health literacy and promote use and access to specialist services in local communities and families.

P.L.A.N.N Wholesome Empowerment Group has taken it a step further and we are applying this principle to a variety of areas within health awareness in the form of social, physical, emotional, spiritual and mental health - because we believe that taking a WHOLESOME approach is KEY to wellness and self care!

So we've put together our self care campaign #practisemakesprogress that aims to bring you awareness, share lived experiences of poor self care, provide tips and tools as well as helpful information for this wellness CALL TO ACTION!
