35,000 Croatians Sing DALMACIJO at STADION POLJUD (Hajduk Split vs. Inter Milan - August 2, 2012)

The CNYLA made a last minute and surprise trip to STADION POLJUD to support NK HAJDUK SPLIT vs. INTER MILAN for a Europa League Qualifier (Round 3) match in Split, Croatia on Thursday, August 2, 2012. The stadium was sold out. The streets filled fans wearing their team color white. And, although there was sweltering heat, fans for life engulfed the cobble stone streets with cheers that can be heard for miles.

During a most incredible sunset over the Adriatic, the stadium burst into song to support Hajduk. With only 20 minutes left until game time and not one player on the field yet, soccer fans showed their burning hearts for their team through classic Dalmatian songs.

The CNYLA captured this incredible moment. For two minutes, no matter where you were from, you were Dalmatian for that moment. Some people may not understand soccer, but for Croatians, it's in our blood. Near or far, Croatia is always in our hearts.

(Side note: Please forgive our President for getting slightly teary eyed at the end. It was her first Hajduk game and she was very overwhelmed with the love and energy at the game. Viva la Croacia!)
