Jennifer Claro
Kitami Institute of Technology, Japan
Jennifer Claro is an associate professor at the Kitami Institute of Technology. She recently completed her Ph.D. in Education at the University of Toronto. Her main research interests are L2 motivation (motivation to learn a foreign language), the ideal Japanese self, and spaced repetition (e.g. ANKI). Her hobbies are biking, taking her dog for a walk, and using ANKI to learn Japanese kanji and vocabulary.

Masahito Watanabe
Senshu University, Japan
Wata (Masahito Watanabe) has been in charge of general English courses for university freshmen and sophomores for more than thirty years. His general interests include linguistics, phonetics and phonology, pedagogical grammar, and others. He is a translator of Grammar in Use Intermediate Third Edition (R. Murphy, CUP) and the others.

Yoko Matsumoto
Monash University, Australia
Yoko Matsumoto is a PhD student at Monash University in Australia and works as a teaching associate in Japanese studies. Her research focuses on intercultural competence, virtual exchange, and Collaborative Online International Learning.

Robert Murphy
University of Kitakyushu, Japan
Robert Shoichi Murphy is an Associate Professor at the University of Kitakyushu. His main research interests are cognitive growth and language acquisition. Robert attained his PhD in Applied Linguistics at the University of Nottingham, supervised by Dr. Zoltan Dornyei. Ethnically, Robert is half Japanese and has lived most of his life in Japan.
