In this episode of Men's Locker Room, we are in conversation with a Civil Engineer who turned into a Desi Hip Hop sensation, MC Square. He is a proud Haryanvi who has always believed in staying true to yourself and sticking to your ancestral roots no matter what.

The winner of MTV Hustle 2.0, MC Square shares his experience post-winning and how his family initially reacted to him pursuing a career in the Hip-Hop industry. He shares his career shift from an engineer to a rapper and how his passion for various forms of art, whether music, raaginis, dance or even shayaris led him to build a solid foundation for himself in the industry.

As the conversation flows between MC Square and Sadhika, we get to know his perspective on the generation gap that often exists between the parents and gen next. He also sheds light on the beautiful bond he shares with his parents and family. Despite gaining fame and becoming successful, we see a different side of this artist who is down to earth and often feels shy when someone listens to his songs in front of him.

He also talked about the evolution of rap, and how the next wave is going to be of regional and cultural music getting the centre stage over Bollywood numbers. MC Square also deep dives into the cultural aspects of Desi Hip Hop and why it is gaining popularity among the masses as a way of life and not just a form of entertainment. He candidly talks about the legacy left behind by Sidhu Moosewala and how he became a national phenomenon due to his humble beginnings.

The conversation then diverts to how artists often use autotune and lip sync while performing and how it’s not that big of a deal when done with caution. He also openly shares his views on the Bhagavad Gita being quoted in Oppenheimer.

MC Square also shares the valuable lessons he learned from all the judges and participants at MTV Hustle and sheds light on why he prefers to stay single over dating someone at this point in his life.
