Hi there! I'm Vanessa Bartlett, a mum and a fitness and holistic health professional for about 18 years now. WELCOME to my channel.

The goal for this channel is to help as many of you as possible to learn, practice and enjoy wellbeing and fitness methods that are balanced a holistic in the approach. Sometimes I feel like I'm the trainer who does the inner work that can get missed!

What I mean is, working on your health holistically, including body, mind and spirit. You see, health and fitness is not just about the physical and especially with busy lifestyles today stress and other issues are on the rise where so many people hit that point of 'burnout,' which is hard to recover from.

That's what happened to me. Years back as a successful personal trainer and teaching lots of gym classes I hit that 'burnout' point and for two years got really sick, lethargic, low in my immune system, emotional and mental health went down, and all I wanted to do was sleep all day! This was not good for a trainer!

I had to stop exercise and questioned everything I had been taught in fitness. It turned out I had 'adrenal fatigue,' where your adrenal glands which control cortisol and hormonal balance, plus influence your 'fight or flight' state of being was out of fuel. I was running on empty, hence the health problems I faced.

Luckily my downward spiral of physical and mental health allowed me to research and discover lighter ways to exercise, and more balanced approaches towards reducing stress and living a healthy lifestyle, eventually overcoming the extreme fatigue.

For years now I've immersed myself in searching for better ways to stay in shape and improve quality of life. My goal is to share these workouts and tips with you, to help you prevent or heal what may be a similar situation to what I mentioned above.

After speaking to so many people and getting responses on my blogs and videos, and emails from people around the world, it seems 'burnout' is becoming more prevalent, but it does not have to be!

I want you to feel confident, happy and thrive in your life. In becoming a mum I have revisited my own battles with mental and physical health, always going back to implementing my own routines and advice that I share with you!

Vanessa Bartlett is a Pilates Instructor, Personal Trainer, health & fitness presenter, author, speaker, with 16 years experience in the industry. She gets people results in health, fitness and lifestyle improvement based on her unique combination of Pilates and holistic mind/body programs.

Her own health setbacks experiencing 'adrenal fatigue' have encouraged her to help people around the world get healthy, fit and balanced within their health and their life. Vanessa hit ‘burnout’ by teaching too many exercise classes and running a business in her mid 20’s, prompting her to look at more balanced ways of staying fit and healthy without the high-impact and fast-paced regimes that still plague the fitness industry.

Vanessa is passionate about helping people achieve a healthy, strong and balanced body and overcoming stress and fatigue within busy life, to help avoid hitting that point of ‘burnout’ which is very common with the busy pace of our lives today.

She is a writer, presenter and exercise trainer, helping various clients including females, males and professional athletes achieve a better mind and mind balance. Vanessa has been featured in newspapers and has presented for the Channel 7 Morning Show, TVSN and produced and co-hosted an internet lifestyle show. Vanessa has also received an award for ‘Innovation in Healthcare’ helping clients through meditation and Pilates in partnership with South West Area Health (in Sydney, Australia.)
