GitHub Copilot Chat is now generally available for organizations and individuals. As published, on January 11, GitHub Copilot Chat is now generally available for both Visual Studio Code and Visual Studio. GitHub Copilot Chat is included in all GitHub Copilot plans including the original GitHub Copilot productivity boosting code completion capabilities. It is also available at no cost to verified teachers, students, and maintainers of popular open-source projects. No action is required for users of the public beta Copilot Chat. Enterprise and organization administrators can grant their development teams access to Copilot Chat by enabling the Copilot Chat settings.

Database monitoring and troubleshooting is critical for any data driven application. The most difficult troubleshooting areas include identification of MySQL database performance issues. The Azure portal has a new Performance diagnostics feature designed to help manage Azure Database for MySQL servers. This new feature takes advantage of MySQL’s information_schema databases, and performance_schema databases, to provide a comprehensive view of the systems internal operations. The data from performance schema helps to diagnose performance issues and identify bottlenecks.
