Hotel Tour- Galt house Hotel, Louisville, Kentucky

So yeah, this hotel is pretty nice. Rooms are spacious. We got a very nice 2-suite room. I don’t know the price quite frankly don’t want to. This was kind of a disappointing stay. The beds slept nicely, but need better pillows. They also need more blankets. The view outside was nice at least. I also had a very nice bathroom.


My top points are the spacious room, comfy bed, beautiful view, nice decorations, and very cool elevators.

My low points are the dirty bed, chaotic room, and lack of blankets.

So, what do I give this hotel out of 30?

Cleanliness- 6/10: the bed really killed it for me. As well as the sharpie on the walls. Other than that, pretty clean.

Comfort and other commodities- 8/10: I was comfortable in my room. It was pretty nice. The bed was comfortable and the other furniture was petty comfortable too. I will say however, the room needs to be laid out better. I love spacious rooms, but this one needs to be laid out better. The commodities were nice, easy access to vending. You also get access to the bridge over the road which is really cool. It has a bar and coffee shop in it. There is also a lot of shopping, which is really cool too.

Price- 5/10: don’t know the price. I do know it’s expensive though. I wouldn’t have a problem with paying that price for this hotel if the problems weren’t so prevalent. I mean, we had basically a dirty room. This is NOT the price you should pay for a luxury hotel. I blame Wyndham, the owners of this hotel for these issues. I would like to point out that I have not had experiences like this at luxury Hilton OR Marriott properties. WYNDHAM GET YOUR CRAP TOGETHER!!

Overall I give this place a 19/30. That’s not too great. I really really really want to like this hotel, but the condition of the room was not acceptable and I can’t give this hotel a fair rating. If you’re in Louisville, definitely check out the Galt house. It’s a beautiful hotel, but I can’t recommend staying here unless you really want to, or have had previous good experiences here. I would recommend stay in at a holiday inn in town. So yeah, this is my review.
