Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Rally Car: Starts, Action & Turbo Anti-Lag Backfires!

Описание к видео Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VI Rally Car: Starts, Action & Turbo Anti-Lag Backfires!

For this video I tried to put together most of the clips I stored during all these years about the beautiful Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution 6 rally car from various events and rallies. It was introduced for the 1999 WRC season as a replacement of the Evo V in the Group A class and then used until late 2001 when Mitsubishi was forced to follow the homologation rules of WRC cars and no longer of Group A and the Evo 6 was replaced by the Lancer WRC (based on the Evo VII). In the middle of the 2000 season, a new upgraded front bumper made its appearance so that the car, with further upgrades to keep the pace with the more and more performing WRC cars, was renamed 'Evo 6.5' for the 2001 season.
With this car, Tommi Makinen was able to achieve his fourth World Title for Mitsubishi in 1999.

The Evo 6 was also used in Group N specs, notable thanks to more stock interiors and a manual, H-pattern gearbox (while the Group A car was with a sequental gearbox).
