International Scouter’s Award

The International Souters Award recognizes Scouters that have participated in and promoted international Scouting. Often adult leaders don't realize when they have actually achieved this award. Looking over the requirements and completing 6 in any 3 of the 5 categories complete this award. This square knot identifies Scout Leaders with international Scouting experience. As members of the World Organization of the Scouting Movement (WOSM), this is recognition of leadership within international Scouting. This video reviews all of the requirements to help adult leaders identify how close they are to achieving this award.

🔑 Show Notes:The International Scouter’s Award encourages Scouters to broaden their involvement in Scouting through participation in world Scouting activities and recognizes Scouters for their contributions to world Scouting.
Requirements
1. Applicants must be currently registered adult Scouters of the Boy Scouts of America.
2. All applicants must receive the approval of their local council’s international committee chairperson or international representative and their council Scout executive.
3. Complete any six of the following, from at least three of the following categories: 6 Requirements, from at least 3 of the 5 Categories
• I. Giving leadership to international Scouting: (3 Items in List)
• II. Giving leadership to international events held in the United States: (3 Items in List)
• III. Giving leadership to international events held in other countries: (3 Items in List)
• IV. Educating self and others: (3 Items in List)
• V. Giving support to international Scouting: (3 Items in List)
