We would like to present our new package: Realistic Asteroid Pack. This is the first volume of our upcoming realistic package series. The pack contains 6 realistic asteroids models and 4 realistic meteorites, each model containig its own lod group. We strongly believe that if you are looking to create a realistic environment our asteroids/meteorites/rocks may be a good point to start. The package comes with a demo scene, where we’ve created a very clean and beautiful space atmosphere.

Every asteroid model comes with its own material, while the meteorites have an atlas. Each material is using Unity Standard Shader and contains 4 different 4096 pixels maps (albedo, metalic, normal, occlusion). Each texture has 4096 pixels for a maximum quality product but it migh be scaled down very simple.

We’ve created prefabs for every model, with the LOD group set up so you will be able to create your own scenes very simple.

As we’ve said, each model comes with a lod group, the tris count begin around: 70-300 for the last level of the details, 140-850 for the second one and 300 to 1700 for the most detailed mesh. So, we believe that our models are highly optimized for some realistic assets and they are ready to run on low and high end devices. The demo scene has around 60k triangles (without bake, occlusion culling, or other optimization techniques).

All the scripts are commented and the pack contains a documentation file (PDF) explaining the project folder hierarchy.

Also, we would like to point that all the asteroids have around 2.5m square, but you will be able to scale them as much as you want, as you can see in our provided screenshots.
