On 1st September 2025, the Supreme Court of India delivered a historic judgment —
From now on, TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) is mandatory for all teachers, even for those appointed years ago.
Teachers with more than 5 years of service left must clear TET within 2 years, otherwise they may face compulsory retirement (with benefits).
