Chaos or Community: Where do we go from here?

A prophetic vision endowed to future generations by The Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sets a course for action in meaningful community endeavors. Dr. King's last published work, "Where Do We Go From Here? CHAOS OR COMMUNITY" presents an opportunity for reflection on an historic movement and a call for self-examination of where we, as a people, are today.

The Reverend Dwight Graves Social Justice Seminars perpetuates a spirit of community service through real life experiences. In these conversations, Southern Christian Leadership for the 21st Century builds on the foot soldiers' legacy by engaging in genuine strategies to meet human needs. At best, a "Beloved Community" will emerge from our multi-medium conversation to realize an increased trust for sustained collaboration.

At the very least, we will structure our individual needs within an evidence-based assessment of where we are today. A seven-pillar approach to achieving economic security establishes HEALING, FEEDING, HOUSING, LEARNING, EARNING, LIVING and GIVING as priority areas for community engagement.

Since its inception, the American Civil Rights Movement has embraced shared values with a global community of 2.1 billion Christians worldwide. The annual Lenten season culminates with a celebration of endless possibilities. We remember loved ones, loss to violence, and, yet, emerged to life more abundant.

From this point, all news and all politics begins on Our Street, USA.

We #ChooseNonViolence as a common course for forward movement. Our common trust is evidenced by our resolve to be #MyBrothersKeeper.

We value our children as did Jesus The Christ when he said, "for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these." Our shared faith in their futures will define our generation as "the ones we've been waiting for to transform a reluctant nation into its better self."

WE THE PEOPLE in order to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this covenant for forward movement as "The Beloved Community."
