In our latest installment, we are paying homage to one of the longest and most memorable sounds of the Tropicalia movement that began in the late ’60s. The Tropicalia movement influenced the sounds of what Latin House Music is known for today. This style of music highlighted the tropical sounds of Brazil, Latin music, the Balearic sounds from Ibiza where DJs of legendary venues like Café del Mar and Café Mambo first began playing it, putting this type of music on the map. In this 6 part series, we have cherry-picked tracks like "Cada Vez" from producers and DJs who helped popularize Latin House Music worldwide in the 90’s-2000’s like Louie Vega, Kenny Dope Gonzalez, Johnny Fiasco, and Hector Romero to name a few. Who created a style of House Music that became quintessentially Latin House Music.
