Meet Mr Seloane, a paraplegic patient who began his journey of healing at the RMA Welkom Sub-Acute Rehabilitation Facility. With therapy, determination, and RMA’s support, he rebuilt his independence and reminds us that an injury is not the end — it is the beginning of a new chapter.

At Ithembelihle LSEN School, RMA’s sponsorship of a fully equipped new building ensures learners with physical disabilities are empowered with practical skills such as beadmaking, hospitality services, strawberry gardening, and chicken farming. These are tools for self-reliance, unlocking futures shaped by opportunity rather than limitation.

Former mineworker Mr Harry Shikweni turned tragedy into triumph. After his injury ended his mining career, RMA equipped him with training, resources, and tools to build a sustainable farming business that now supports his family with dignity.

Through RMA’s support, Mr Piet Masha, who lost his leg in a workplace accident, is completing his training as a Prosthetist Assistant — helping others walk again while transforming his own life in the process.

The video also features RMA’s Young Artists Project in partnership with KZNSA Gallery. Young creatives are supported to express their stories, heal, and inspire. Zama, a survivor of rape, uses art to confront pain and honour her journey of healing, reflecting the power of creativity in restoring dignity.
