This song was born at sea.

I worked with Greenpeace for many years as part of the Save the Whales campaign, and Song to the Vladivostok holds a special place in my heart. It was written in 1977, aboard a Greenpeace ship, by a close friend of mine.

Surrounded by endless ocean, cold winds, and the quiet presence of whales beneath the waves, the song became a voice for those who could not speak for themselves. It is a song of resistance, care, and deep respect for life in the sea a reminder that protecting whales is not just activism, but an act of love.

The ocean remembers, and so do we.
