Epiphone has been privileged to work with Dave Rude for several years. Epi instruments in his collection include an original Alleykat, a TV Silver Explorer Pro, a Sheraton-II, a Masterbilt EF-500RCCE, and more. So when Dave mentioned that he'd like to have a Flying-V and even had a design idea based on an old Tom Petty T-Shirt, Epiphone R&D went to work and put together a one-of-a-kind guitar to present to Dave in Nashville. Inspired by that vintage t-shirt, the guitar features a white finish with a red pickguard and a white phenolic fingerboard.
