The Prisoner

This song was written by Colin in 1976. Colin and I were in a band called `Shuffles` at the time. Paul Jones was on Drums (who we still see regularly and tried to get him on the brushes, he hasn't said yes yet though) and Ian Church on Bass Guitar. We performed this song and another one that Colin wrote called 'Dream Lady' at the Marquee Club in London in July 1976 in a National Competition.

In the 1970's we played the music scene in Plymouth and Cornwall having a really good time in the process. We would supplement the band with a lead guitarist when possible. Luckily, we were able to call on two exceptional players in Phil Lean and John Lang. Both were different in style but really added something to the band, Phil was also a really good vocalist.

I believe both Phil and John are still performing on the music scene in Plymouth. For our appearance at the Marquee, John was on lead guitar.

I hope you like the song; we think it has stood the test of time.
