Last month at the IAEE Expo! Expo! the trade show about the trade show industry, reporter Robert Strong asked exhibitors, "What's your best opening line?"

We wanted to know what line exhibitors used to stop attendees to initiate conversation and hopefully qualify them as a lead or not.

The video has a few good opening lines, but sadly, some exhibitors thought it was a trick question. What's the trick? And then there were some exhibitors that didn't realize that if they spent $30,000 to sponsor and attend a conference they should spend ten minutes to come up with an opening line.
