Most Stupid Equipment of WWII

Описание к видео Most Stupid Equipment of WWII

NAAFI was established by the British Government in 1920 when the Expeditionary Force Canteens (EFC) and the Navy and Army Canteen Board (NACB) were combined to run the recreational establishments needed by the Armed Forces, and to sell goods to servicemen and their families. Since then, millions of servicemen have enjoyed a cup of char and a chat, a sandwich and a whinge, or a pint and a grumble.

In a new style for WW2TV we are going to stream live "NAAFI Natters" informal chats. using panels of historians, guides, fans of the shows, experts and chums we will talk about a variety of subjects.

Be prepared for copious swearing, cheeky banter and possible consumption of adult beverages.

This week our panelists will propose a piece of equipment from WWII that was either stupid or didn't work or looked ridiculous but did work. It can be Allied or Axis and remained a prototype or was actually used in combat. Let's hear about ugly planes, silly gadgets and bonkers weapons.
