Here is an overview of the pool beach and our cabins stay at the Cape Charles Chesapeake Bay KOA campground.

We really enjoyed our stay at the KOA this is one of the nicest pools we’ve ever seen at a KOA campground and you could definitely spend a few days there.

They have a private beach on the Chesapeake Bay which is great to walk or do some fishing you should probably know that if you have little ones there are a lot of tiny crabs that we saw during our fall visit and it can make for a less than relaxing time so you may not want to plan on a lot of beach time if that might be an issue for your family… it could’ve been just the time of year that we were there too.

The staff that we interacted with were really nice. They a big camp store too.

Since we were there in the off-season weekdays, there really weren’t many activities except for the weekends where they do have concert series which might not be a great fit for families with young children as they run a little bit later and probably pretty loud.

They seem to have a crowd of regulars that enjoy it and it’s part of that campgrounds culture so if you’re planning on a trip with younger kids it’s just something to think about so you can plan the best trip possible for you and your family and enjoy your time at the Chesapeake bay Cape Charles KOA.

Overall we had a great experience ! We love the KOA cabins.. it’s perfect for a family with three kids and there’s a full kitchen as well as a screened in porch…
