A joint performance was given by the Chongbong Band and the State Merited Chorus at the April 25 House of Culture from Aug. 31 to Sept. 2.

Their repertoire included orchestra and male chorus "We Will Go On along the Road of Loyalty", light music "Frontline-Bound Train", female chorus "We Are Successors to Revolution" and song and dance "Make Others Envy Us."

The performers made an impressive artistic portrayal of the profound reverence for the peerlessly great men of Mt. Paektu and the ennobling ideological and moral qualities of the service personnel and people following the road of Juche under the leadership of the Party Central Committee.

Female chorus "Our Loyalty Will Never Change," female trio and pangchang "Ardent Longing" and orchestra and male chorus "We Always Follow One Road", the winner of Kim Jong Il Prize, mesmerized the audience as they represented the profound reverence of the service personnel, youth and other people for Marshal Kim Jong Un.

The joint performance was acclaimed by the audience for showing a new phase of music representation through the presentation of a peculiar art form, a combination of Korean-style light music, orchestra, solo and chorus, and singers' unique and refined depiction and rich and solemn voices.
