Say hello to Loubie, our very first doggy ambassador at The Body Shop. She’s on a mission to help raise awareness of animal testing in cosmetics. We joined forces at the United Nations, NYC, where we staged the world’s first doggy protest to give animals everywhere a voice.

The Body Shop was the first global beauty brand to fight animal testing. Starting back in 1989, we have always campaigned to change laws. We led the way and helped bring about the EU ban which has been in effect for 5 years, but sadly animal testing is permitted in 80% of countries around the world today.

Alternatives to animal testing are quicker, more accurate and often cheaper. Which means that around half a million animals are harmed and killed every year for absolutely no reason. You can change this. You can help us ban animal testing in cosmetics forever, everywhere in the world.
