At the Royal Irish Academy, Dublin, on Friday, 8 December, 2023, Wallace Thompson, co-founder of the Democratic Unionist Party, sat down with Sam McBride, journalist at The Belfast Telegraph and The Economist, in the fourth "Conversation on Britishness and Irishness. This series is organized by the ARINS Project (of the Keough-Naughton Institute for Irish Studies at the University of Notre Dame and Royal Irish Academy) and the George Mitchell Institute of Irish Studies at the Queens University of Belfast. The event was opened by Richard English, director of the Senator George J Mitchell Institute for Global Peace, Security and Justice at Queen's University Belfast
