Hiranyakashyap tried to kill his son Prahalad many a times but each time he got saved by the Lord Vishnu. As Hiranyakashyap was blessed that he could not be killed by any human, animal or demon, neither on the earth nor in the sky, neither in the day nor in the night, neither outside of home nor inside.
