Licensing Tradeoffs in Open Source Startups - Nicholas Gottlieb, Dragonfly

In this talk I'll discuss the current licensing strategies available to open-source startups and what the tradeoffs are in terms of both community adoption and monetization. In additional to discussing classic open source license models (Apache, MIT) and the newer business source licenses, I'll also discuss the various business models that most often accompany each of these licensing models. I'll use real world public examples as well as examples from my experience operating companies with varying licensing models.
