WarioWare Move It! - Kat and Ana High Score Run

Описание к видео WarioWare Move It! - Kat and Ana High Score Run

New WarioWare game this soon? Kinda wild, I wasn't expecting one to happen at least until the next console, but I guess it would have been a bit strange for them to pass up the gimmick the Switch offers.

So... WarioWare Move It, even more of a successor to Smooth Moves than I expected. It's nice to see how things have changed since then. From what I've played, the motion controls are a lot cleaner, as well as more ambitious. The expansion on motion controls offered by the new system really lends to much better immersion.

Microgames and boss stages certainly feel like they've remastered that weird energy Smooth Moves had, so in general I think it's a very clean game so far, highly polished and all that. Some parts might be a bit too ambitious though, with similar issues that Smooth Moves had like some motions feeling really unintuitive in terms of exactly what they want from you. More on that in a bit.

When I say the game is the successor to Smooth Moves, I feel like the game was a pretty big step down from those previous in a way by just taking a lot of stuff away that were starting to become series staples, like the challenges, fewer single player bonus games. Could be wrong on that and have not experienced everything yet, but it does feel like stuff was arbitrarily taken away because it didn't exist in Smooth Moves like the practice system being some of the most limited it's ever been. Mostly petty stuff, I'm aware, but it makes the game feel like it has a bit less depth so far compared to GiT or Gold. I can appreciate a smaller scope though because gameplay wise it's pretty top notch. Glad to see voice acting is back, too.

I was playing through a bunch of the stages and stopped on Kat and Ana hearing it wasn't very well explored so far. Does feel harder than some of the others I played so far with some pretty demanding microgames in general as well as the Hand Model form which took a lot of getting used to. Still don't entirely know how it works. Pretty sure one of the Gesture losses in this run was really ??? but I did a few runs so idk. Should be fine for 100 though, I was getting used to the tricks it could play as the run went on. Some of it still feels really janky which was a bit frustrating at times but I'm going in with the mindset of if I can solve 99% of Smooth Moves microgames, I'm sure the same can be done here.

Still in the process of unlocking microgames and trying stuff out, but I do wanna my time doing it instead of rushing to get stuff out. I do wonder how much my mind will change on things as I explore the rest of the game.
