So it’s no secret that Boruto is quite the opposite of his father, who unlike Naruto… was able to use multiple changes in chakra nature ever since he was young. And because of not only this, but his ability to grasp new concepts, techniques and have the IQ to use them effectively in battle, he was called a genius. As of right now… Boruto can perform approximately three chakra releases, that being lightning, wind, and water release. It was stated many times that he has a very high affinity in both wind and lightning nature… which would make him a lot like Sasuke who also had a mastery of two chakra natures at a very young age being lightning and fire. I also wanna state really quick that it is possible Boruto has actually mastered fire release now because of his timeskip training with Sasuke and how he told Boruto he taught him all the moves and methods that he knows. I further explained this in a video where basically I went over every potential new technique and ability we could see Boruto do since he was being trained by Sasuke, in the video I went over techniques like kirin, fire ball jutsu… even new ways Boruto would be able to use his purple lightning ability… and lucky enough, in chapter 7 we was able to actually see Boruto use purple lightning and stream it through his sword just like I said in the video. So back to the main topic… if Boruto can perform fire release at an elite level, then he now has access to 4 chakra natures in base of course. But in spite of Boruto knowing how to use 3 or 4 chakra natures… I feel he doesn’t make use of his full arsenal like he should… and I’m of course talking about his water release….
