69. Trash House. Recycled Wood Frame House, Connecting used 2x4 wood pieces, Home Depot Purple pile

I bought my land in May of 2022 because buying an actual house felt impossible. I was inspired by my old boss, and now friend Doug. I was documenting his day-to-day as he build this amazing house in Sunrise Beach Village, TX. I put an offer on a piece of land in Spring Branch, Texas. I literally did zero research. I pretty much bought the first piece of land I found. I'm documenting the process for my mom.

I'm passionate about cleaning up the environment and doing my part to respect nature. I thought building.a house from recyclables and garbage, would be a fun experience. And just like that, I bought a hammer, and one of those saw thing-a-ma-jiggers.

My experience is limited to building basic sets for Actors in Los Angeles. This is my first time building anything that needs to survive an alien invasion. My only goal is to live inside my house before my dog dies. She's almost 15. I got her when she was nearly 10 weeks.
