Alba Palacios is Spain's first transgender football player.
Alba Palacios, then known as Alvaro, began playing football at 10, in the youth system of Pozuelo de Alarcón, staying with that club until 24 years of age, and having played in the men’s Tercera Division.
Palacios began her transition and hormone therapy in 2017. At the time she played for the male team Torrelodones CF. Alba Palacios says she’s so much happier since coming out. This video Shows her story.
