A Walk along Esplanade Ridge (with Andrew)

In this live stream, Andrew will guide you on a walk along Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans.

Esplanade begins from the edge of the French Quarter by the Mississippi and ends by St. Louis Cemetery #3, Bayou St. John, and City Park. Visually, it's much like the more famous St. Charles Avenue, lined with beautiful 19th-century houses and live oak trees. And historically, it runs along a trade route older than New Orleans itself.

On this walk, we'll include:
The area of Jazz Fest, New Orleans' foremost music festival
Bayou Road, the oldest road in New Orleans
The original site of the first Greek Orthodox church in the Americas
The Degas House, the former home of the family of Edgar Degas, impressionist painter
A few of the tombs of St. Louis Cemetery #3
The Free People of Color Museum
And tons of mansions, gardens, and monuments besides.
