Let's discuss about Peltier coolers #10 - Serial or parallel connection?

Описание к видео Let's discuss about Peltier coolers #10 - Serial or parallel connection?

In this video I show you how to interpret the serial and parallel connections for Peltier coolers. Since, they can be considered as resistors, they obey the Ohm’s law and the Kirchhoff’s laws. This makes it easy to do some calculations and estimate the current and voltage on each individual Peltiers within the circuit. The most challenging part is that the resistance of these units are constantly changing with the temperature, so one cannot use a universal value. The resistance has to be considered at a given equilibrium temperature/equilibrium condition. In this video, I was using (nearly) identical TEC12706 units, but it can be done with a mixture of different coolers. In fact, it is a good idea to mix the different coolers in order to get a more precise control over the divided current and voltage. But at the end of the day, the desired temperature and pumped heat will decide the layout of the circuit.
