Ooika is thrilled to announce our upcoming live and in-person interactive Matcha classes, hosted at Soy Te in GDL Mexico on Friday, November 2nd, and Saturday, November 3rd.

Our first class on Friday is: Tasting and Understanding Matcha (Beginner Friendly!) Did you know that fine Matcha is similar to fine Wine, Scotch, or Tequila? That’s because Matcha has different cultivars, processing techniques, and terroirs that all affect the taste. In this interactive class, you’ll learn to taste and talk about Matcha like a Connoisseur. We’ll cover what is Matcha, where is Matcha from, and what makes matcha Unique?

On Saturday, we’ll be going deeper into the world of Matcha: Matcha Deep Dive (Intermediate Matcha Class) We’ll cover the famous terroirs that produce high-grade Matcha, learn the stories of renowned farmers the matcha comes from, discuss the various Matcha cultivars, and gain insight into heritage matcha production and cultivation - and most importantly, stone milling. After the class, you’ll have a deeper understanding of Matcha that will heighten your appreciation for this ancient drink.
