When the weather becomes colder in autumn, the horse-breeders have a custom to set the mares and foals free of their halter and hobbles and to celebrate the feast of “Foal branding”. For Mongolians horse is not just one kind of livestock, which we’re using as transport or food, it’s something much bigger, and closer. Horses are friends for all life.
