Описание к видео MCQ on Type I & II error, p value,Power of test, Community Medicine tutorial, NEETPG2020, fmge

In this video I shall discuss about MCQs on TYPE I ERROR, TYPE II ERROR, p value and Power of a test.
*Type I error is rejecting the null hypothesis when it is true.
*Type II error is accepting the null hypothesis when it is false.
p value is the probability of making a type I error. This value has been fixed at 5% or 0.05 which is also the level of significance denoted by alpha.
If p value is 0.05 it means the probability of making a type I error is only 5% i.e the result will be insignificant 5 times and will be significant 95 times.
Smaller the p value the more significant the result is.
*Power of a test is the ability of a test to correctly identify a statistical difference if it exists.
