Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 LCD Projector | Temp LED Repair

Описание к видео Epson PowerLite Home Cinema 8100 LCD Projector | Temp LED Repair

I picked up this Epson HC8100 originally as a parts unit. I am waiting for another HC8100 with a fish eye objective array or prism array problem. However while I wait, I figure this is a good way to get more familiar with Epsons.

The symptoms are pretty clear. The projector tries to start but shuts down right after you see the Epson logo and then the Temp LED flashes.

The issue ended up being a totally dead lamp blower fan. I have the scraps of an HC8350 that supplied the replacement fan (and may supply the fish eye/prism parts for the upcoming 8100, we will see). Had this been a customer unit, I would purchase a new fan rather than use a scrap yard fan.

The projector had someone in it before so it did not need any cleaning. It also seems to have been in a pretty clean environment.
