To be honest, we were a little sceptical to start with as they are only 3mm and the water is still fairly cold at depth, 8 degrees on this dive and we would usually wear a 5mm thick hood as a minimum.



However these were in our opinion, better than any 5mm Hoods or Gloves for several reasons, obviously being only 3mm these were far more flexible and much easier to put on, even when wet, we all know how difficult this can be especially when gloves are wet!



The new lining which is also a thermal skin, helps with donning and also keeps your much warmer, we dived to 22mtrs for around an hour in 8 degrees and we felt no cold in our heads or hands as you would usually expect!



Another big advantage was on the surface when cleaning or adjusting our masks, even with the hood and gloves on it was far easier to do, the fingers on the gloves are also prebent which really helps
