On Friday, June 24, the summer feast of the Kursk Root Icon of the Mother of God, Bishop Nicholas of Manhattan celebrated Divine Liturgy in the Refectory Church of the Holy Ascension Convent on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Following Liturgy, His Grace served a panihida for the ever-memorable sixth First Hierarch of the Russian Church Abroad, Metropolitan Hilarion (Kapral), on the 40th day of his repose.

Singing at the panihida was the PaTRAM male choir under the direction of Vadim S. Gan, conductor of the Synodal Cathedral of the Sign Choir in New York City.
